Will all 3rd-8th grade students be together?
No, students are separated into two groups during their live classes: Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8, utilizing two separate rooms for focused learning.
During extracurriculars like crafts and social activities, the groups sometimes mix to foster friendships and build community. With our 1:15 student-teacher ratio, small groups (e.g., 2 groups of 7 or 3 groups of 4 or 5 within each classroom) ensure each student is supervised and engaged. Our licensed educators use their classroom management expertise to create a positive, structured environment tailored to student needs.
Will students have free time?
Absolutely! At ELI, students have at least 2 hours every day dedicated to activities of their choice. They can unwind at our gaming center, dive into a good book, enjoy board games, get creative with craft projects, or focus on studying and completing homework. This balance between structure and free choice ensures that every student has the opportunity to relax, explore their interests, and recharge for their next academic challenge.
Are students on laptops all day?
No, live classes take about 3 hours per day, and these are completed with breaks in between. The remainder of the day includes differentiated instruction, extracurriculars, and enrichment activities, ensuring a well-balanced experience.
