A day in the life of an eli student

7:00 AM – Before-Care (Optional): Breakfast, Relaxed morning activities, quiet reading, or light educational games.

8:00 AM – Official Start & Morning Setup: Students arrive, settle in, and organize their materials.

8:15 AM – Study Hall: Students can work on homework and/or utilize the time to study or get ahead.

9:00 AM – Virtual School Classes Begin: Scholars log into NC Virtual Academy for their core courses.

12:00 PM – Lunch & Social Time: A chance to refuel and interact. (Hot Lunch $ Option)

1:00 PM –Free Time & Socialization: Students unwind with social activities, outdoor play, and games.

2:00 PM – Academic Instruction: Differentiated Instruction and Small Group Interventions from ELI teachers.

3:30 PM – Life Skills Workshop/Activity: Hands-on lessons in practical skills

(e.g., financial literacy, cooking basics, sports, creative arts/STEAM projects).

4:00 PM – End of Standard Hours / Aftercare Begins: Parents pick up students OR students transition to aftercare.

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Aftercare (Optional): Relaxed activities, outdoor play, enrichment games.

6:00 PM – Pick-Up & Departure: Students leave, recharged and ready for the next day.
